This is a usability test survey across the top 100 grossing e-commerce sites’ checkout processes. My intuition would’ve said that those with the highest sales have the most money to spend on engineering/design resources to produce the best checkout experiences with the lowest checkout abandonment rates, thus feeding more revenue.
Rather, the sites with the best-designed checkout processes tend to be the smaller companies. Those with the highest sales don’t actually have good checkout processes.
